The corvette miss is the big issue to me. It's a GM product. The lowest cost two trim levels that offer the ec roof are 75k and 80k base and it's a small amount of glass and SPD for these kinds of low slung applications is a benefit vs pdlc.
What struck me from Joe's response to this question is he sounded almost chastened, as if he thought when the royalty reports came out it would verify that it was SPD. He didn't say he knew what tech was used, just that from the reports he'd seen, it led him to believe SPD tech was not used in the electrochromic roof for the Corvette. Best case scenario the Corvette does have SPD but new supplier had not delivered roofs in the 2nd quarter. Next best case is Corvette has a placeholder waiting for black SPD.

So what company did the roof? Not PDLC, because by definition it is not an electrochromic technology. So Gentex? not likely.

Not holding out hope, but was encouraged about Joe's comment that other GM models would possibly use SPD.

I think 2 items made the call somber and without the same bright projections we've heard in prior calls. The bankruptcy cost to 2nd Q bottom line and no proof of Corvette using SPD.

I have to also say that I like Suntanner's comments. From what I gather, his information is from Gauzy not REFR. Suntanner mentions Tesla with a great degree of certainty. I was DMed on Stocktwits by an individual saying he knew Tesla would have SPD.

I'm glad we got this quarter over with, and although frustrating, I take comfort in the fact that an AGP bankruptcy could have kill the SPD market for the near term. The fact that both REFR and GAUZ had a plan B, shows their resilience.
