I remember like it was yesterday.

It was unusually cold down here in Florida, bitter cold in fact, and I was on the beach, in a winter coat.

You could see the vapor trail as it soared through the air.

The last bit was just awful, there was a crowd gathered and not a soul was talking.

Very sad.

Like the Kennedy assassination, many of us remember where we were for the Challenger disaster.

For some reason I can't remember where I was when I first heard about it, but I do remember President Reagan's speech to the nation addressing the disaster. I rarely get emotional, but that speech had me holding back tears..
