Gary,

I thought the close was quite strong considering that the NAZ dropped hard near the close. It appears that the traders and investors have all gone and what is left are the short sellers. I am looking to reenter this stock once we see some stabilization.

Ciena is supposed to present late Wednesday at the Robinson Stevens technology conference.

Let's hope there will be some positive things presented. I guess we will know on Thursday regarding any market reaction.

But would you buy Xylan or Ciena? I just happened to note the 40% decline in the last few days. Is the announcement that Worldcom is scaling to jit inventory that big? (yes that was an earnest question) Can LU get their 4 Gbs equipment out buy the end of the year?

What else drove this normally high flying stock down?
