Bill you don't know our courts, even if it went before a judge and the guy said he was sorry he would get off lightly. I did not hit a cop but a gas station attendant who yelled at me after the guard dog in the station bit me, I had asked if the dog was friendly and was told yes, the dog bit me when I went to pet it. The next day I got a summons delivered by a cop. I went to court and after I told my story to a judge I got a $50. fine, he also told me I could sue but did not bother.
