From interactive WSJ Business In Asia Today Sydney, Feb. 25 /PRNewsire/ -- The following summary of business in Asia was prepared by Asia Pulse,the real-time, Asia-based wire with exclusive news, market intelligence and business opportunities: CHINESE TELECOM CO TO WORK WITH US DSC IN GSM MARKET BEIJING - Great Dragon Telecommunications (GDT), China's largest domestic switchboard maker, has signed a framework cooperation agreement with DSC Communications Corp. of the United States. Under the terms of the agreement, GDT and DSC will sell GSM systems in the low-subscriber-density markets in China. The companies have also been authorized by China United Telecommunications (Unicom) to conduct a network trial of the system. Unicom is the second-largest telecommunications operator in China, with GSM services covering more than 100 large and medium-sized cities.
