Good Question-

1) attempting to strengthen onshore US manufacturing for security and jobs.

2) Yet, INTC is considered inferior to TSMC for leading edge semi fabrication, and is building fabs in the US.

3) TSMC would appear a better option, but it is foreign owned.

4) Not sure of transaction details- perhaps not to buy but rather a share of fab revenue/ profits for advancing “bail-out” monies.
