I used to build petroleum tankers, when It was slow in production I was asked to repair some leaky tanks. We had built some Chevron B-trains so they came to my company for service and repairs. Sometimes I had to go inside the tanks after they were steamed and checked for safety. All used petroleum tanks had staining on the shells inside from the fuels but in certain Chevron Tanks there was this black sand looking stuff, the first time I found it I cleaned it up. The guy who ran the Chevron maintenance dept came to our company from time to time. I asked him what was that black stuff inside the the tanks, his response "I don't want to talk about it" Next time I saw that junk I did not touch it.
