I think the Ukraine as much as the US and Europe are walking a very fine line. Russia at this point is really of no consequence as it has decided to retain its clearly any peace stance BUT for the Ukraine to thumb its nose at the US (Trump) would not be a good move as it would agitate Trump which is not a winning strategy. Trump is totally win oriented no matter if fake or not. I think the Ukraine and its supporters have finally clued in to this

My projected outcome for Trump … “I have done everything possible to bring about peace. My “partners” are not cooperating. I have more pressing issues to deal with”.

Translated this means I do not want to be seen as Putin’s puppet ergo I will continue to (indirectly) supply weapons to the Ukraine and at the very least, will not reduce Russian sanctions while I ignore added European sanctions.
