What's the cost to taxpayers to provide tax subsidies and financial incentives to oil and gas exploration and refining? You just favor fossil fuel lobbyists, over clean energy lobbyists.

Solyndra didn't work out, but when I'm deciding where to put my money, I prefer choosing a young company in a growing industry, rather than trying to prop up an old champion that's lost it's edge. It's worked for me. Nowhere near every time, but enough to give me a good life.

That mindset got me investing in Qualcomm in the nineties, and it led me to sell. I got back in because I thought they had further to go, but the future keeps getting obscured by decrees.
