Sector, what pisses me off is that everybody knows that DSO and inventory increases are huge red flags that cause immediate reactions in many, followed by thoughtful assessments by the few.

Strictly hindsight observation, but couldn't Edmund or Noam have seen that this would occur (the overreaction) and maybe have stressed more strongly the purposeful nature of the inventory buildup, that being a greater aspect of the percentage increase than the dropoff in OEM sales?

As for that dropoff the lost sales were offset completely by greater sales elsewhere - and those sales were at higher margins than the low-margin OEM stuff they replaced. It's a GOOD thing that OEM sales are now only 10% of total sales, while total sales continue to increase. I wish to hell that could have been stressed more - they did say it but it appears that the questioners just weren't focussing on that sort of thing.

Once again rationality loses out to emotional reaction, it seems to me. Let's anticipate a recovery of sorts Wednesday.
