An op-ed contributor to The Hill had another take on her Calvinball opinion:

thehill.com

Basically, the Heritage Foundation found a crap-load of loop-holes in existing law that was supportive of their ideological goals, wrote it up in Project 2025, and the new administration has been using it as a turnkey solution to further this agenda.

This and other things seem to be rattling the justice a bit.

It appears that many of our governing statutes tend to assume the original intentions will prevail when it comes to government and the application of its laws.

Lawmakers may need to craft laws more like cell phone agreements in the future rather than vaguely assuming their intentions will be modeled by those who apply the laws down the road.

The Koch brother(s) didn't get rich by being dumb or altruistic, and their Heritage Foundation support is paying the family a massive ROI.

Is it deference to the executive branch, or is it originalism being applied in a manner not done in the past?

Do these guys have WWSD bracelets (What Would Scalia Do) to snap and get them into the originalism mind set, or are they just swinging with the executive branch?

You are the expert. I'm not good with these nuances.
