I doubt it will be appealed on the basis of Trump's authority. By law, he clearly has the authority. It will be appealed based on whether there is proven cause and whether she was given proper notice. Abbe Lowell is a good judge shopper. He might find one who finds that she was not properly afforded the opportunity to defend herself and the president acted too swiftly. Either way, it will probably be tied up in court well past when her term expires.
