"We Californians really have to do something about the high price of electricity"

Among other things, we're paying for the wildfires the utilities started, and to upgrade the grid so that they don't start more.

We Californians really have to do something about the high price of electricity, because it's quite embarrassing for a state that gets so much solar power.

Yes you guys pay a lot for electricity and as more storage makes it on the grid (about 15GWh currently) in California power prices should stop rising and actually start to decrease.

Storage is pushing NG peakers off the grid permanently. They made their money during evening peaks when prices are the highest.

98% of the time they sit there doing nothing. Now storage has displaced them and charge up with dirt cheap PV earlier in the day making the big bucks! Tiered pricing will eventually go away,

Utilities in your state are in the process upgrading their ancient equipment and that costs a lot of $$$.

Gotta stop those transmission fires.

All new build residential construction in California has to have solar installed as a result of a building code law change that went into effect January 2020.

Those folks are making out like bandits self generating today.

California is way, way ahead of the rest of the country and continuing to build out RE and storage.

It's fun watching the massive change occurring today.

Unstoppable
