If you mean play for a very short time period, yes. If you mean buy a stock and check in on it every so often, no. I would never walk away from the computer while daytrading, at least not my methods. Momentum can turn quickly and leave you holding those pesky dogs.......

I used to play only the first couple of hours in the morning and the last 45 minutes of the trading day and did very well. If you are time limited you can narrow down your target time, but never buy and walk away.

If you wish to buy and walk away or spot check, I think a little longer buy and hold timeframe is needed.....
