Great link. As a beginner I really appreciate how it explains
what is what. I felt it made a whole bunch of things clearer.
Are there other places that will give definitions and examples
on the net?

Thanx again,

Where'd He Go?

Analysis of Stock Trends" by Edwards and Magee????
I just ordered the 6th edition for $39. from TradersLibrary.com.

[ NSIX / BELT ] Rainier,

NSIX is a good candidate for a Descending Triangle.

What should BELT be Called starting 1/15 ? Flag .. Rectangle?

ABTX is too Precarious it just came off a Double Top. Needs more time.
If it doesn't find support on the 89DMA ... it's got more down to go.
The 50DMA is just starting to turn down.

[ STRR ] Rainier, I think this is an Ascending Triangle. Ready ...to go.

It's getting a more narrow trading range and the indicators are all lined up.

It's a little odd because this one is just riding the 50dma Envelope and it JUMPS off the Envelope. The envelope and the 100dma are running together so maybe it's been jumping up off the 100dma.

Anyway it looks Ripe.

See what you think.

Ray

[ Free Cash Scan ] Rainier,

You listed some ideas for a Free Cash Scan a while back and
I got the ... BUG !! eliminated .... Finally!

I think this list should meet at least part of the criteria
you mentioned.
I couldn't run it on the Float and Market Cap rule stuff yet.

1. Price/Earnings< 12
2. Price/Book ratio of less than 1.0 (that's tough--the business
might really be suffering if you find ones with such valuations
in this market environment--maybe we could stretch it to less than
1.5 times book value)
3. Price/Cash Flow of less than 10 (actually, the book uses
Price/Free Cash Flow, a different (and superior, IMO) figure,
as described above)
4. Price/Sales ratio of less than 1.0
5. Non-declining TA characteristics(i.e. broken out of downtrend)

For 3. I used Operating earnings. ....
Returns the operating earnings per share for the last 12 months,
Operating earnings are defined as:

Earnings - extaordinary items

For 5. I used an increasing 35DMA I could change to an EMA.

What was the rest of the criteria? Was there more?
