Rees-Mogg was certainly right about the current Canadian Prime Minister, Rees-Mogg called Carney an “enemy of Brexit”, accusing him of opposing Brexit consistently and making negatively biased economic forecasts both before and after the referendum. He condemned Carney’s interest rate cut as “panic” and claimed it further weakened sterling.

In a memorable barb, Rees-Mogg described Carney as a “wailing banshee”, labelling his warnings about Brexit as “quite hysterical” and suggesting they lacked credibility.

Rees-Mogg accused Carney of compromising the Bank of England’s neutrality. He suggested that Carney’s public warnings and commentary crossed the line from dispassionate economic analysis into political intervention.

I love this comment...

"Has the whole country gone crazy all of a sudden or did it happen gradually and I just didn’t notice?"
