I bought some ATLCL in early June and bailed out about a dollar higher in July, swapping into ATLCZ. I am up another $0.50, so thanks to whoever suggested ATLCL back in June. I will probably hold on on to a big chunk of ATLCZ for a while - but I may bail out again if it gets up enough

You mentioned
You get 2.1 years more time until call with ATLCZ, so you reap a higher yield for more time,
ATLCZ is callable 1/31/26 (even before ATLCL maturity), so not 2.1 years more time until call. Perhaps you meant until maturity, but it is not guaranteed outstanding until 2029. It could be they bundle debt for retirement together with a new issue next year,. especially if rates come down.
