What you write is very veery sad, I was in Boston I think only once during my stay in NYC, and only remember vaguely where i visited.

I heard similar stories from friends in NYC but only in certain boroughs. NYC never was a true completely clean of crime city there where places where you could not dare go along at night or stop at a red light with open window in your car.

Bottom line very sad
