It’s a very sad day when I find myself hoping the corvette is trying this and not gentex entry into roofs My last automotive hope for SPD lies in smalle, specialty applications, such as Neue Klasse-style headlights. Even there, dyed LC may now have an edge. Apparently, it will always be about the cost. So unless the SPD/PDLC combo film generates surprisingly strong demand, I think SPD-only sunroofs will be relegated to the "ultra-rich guy" segment. Because some models go for under $100K, the '26 Corvettes don't qualify,.
