That story underlines how Carney has been making a hard tack to the right since he was elected. First we get massive increases in military spending, and now the jungle drums are beating about massive cuts to the federal civil service, as prescribed by Project 2025. Our best hope is that these cuts will be carried out in a planed manner rather than the random mayhem instituted by DOGE under direction from Project 2025.

People who rely on the recently-instituted federal Denticare and Pharmacare programmes are very worried.
