The fire at China Camp is interesting, sometimes lighting directs itself at conductive zones, wait for a big rain and set up a series of sluices down hill in creek beds where the gold would wash.

You are not too far from the original California gold rush there.

I recommend this small EXTRAC-TEC, ours has a a modified hurricane riffle system we designed and built in-house.
