Pocotrader,
all of trump's actions now are to distract peoples attention from the Epstein list.
Maybe, maybe not.

On the one hand, I'm all for Trump getting raked over the coals again and again and again over the Epstein files. He promised to release them, and he broke his promise. This was a keystone conspiracy theory, and now he has put himself right in the center of the conspiracy that he used to rail against. As long as he is alive, the Epstein issue will also be alive.

On the other hand, I don't believe Trump actually raped underage girls himself. It's obvious to me that he knew what Epstein was doing on his island and said nothing, but that isn't enough to convict him of any crime.

I also believe Trump could survive any political fallout from the files getting released. Everyone else EXCEPT him will be scorched by guilt via association. The MAGA cultists will continue to bend reality and pretend that Trump did nothing wrong, that we all knew Trump and Epstein were former best buds, blah blah blah blah blah. Moreover, they would actually celebrate his "candor" if he ever decided to release the files.

But if anything, Trump is an utter coward. He doesn't even want to risk guilt via association. He believes the media would never stop hounding him over it, so instead of giving the media an inch, he chose the maximalist strategy of complete and utter cover-up.

One more thing. This theory of mine seems to fit the facts, but I reserve the right to change my mind and change it often.
