dunno about how Russia looks at the situation and shall refrain from pretending, but can guess that Russia would like to see Nato crippled.

know more about what 'China' is thinking, (1) nation building without worrying about exogenous forces doing naughty stuff, and (2) reunification / finish the civil war whilst making sure that no collection of exogenous forces can make any difference to (1)

generally 'sovereignty' coupled with 'peace' and matched to 'prosperity', by way of 'once in 800 years rejuvenation', etc etc etc and ... drumroll ... GetMoreGold
