No surprise here BREAKING: Donald Trump horrifies Americans by insisting that domestic abuse is no big deal and shouldn't even be considered a crime at all because it hurts his narrative. This is shocking even by MAGA's evil standards... "It's called the safe-zone city. There's no crime, they said crime is down 87%. I said no, no, no, it's more than 87%. Virtually nothing and uh..." Trump claimed about Washington D.C. "Much lesser things... Things that take place in the home they call crime," he continued. "You know they'll do anything they can to find something. If a man has a little fight with the wife they say 'This was a crime. See?' So now I can't claim 100% but uh... We are a safe city." Trump's words can only be interpreted as a deliberate downplaying of domestic violence. If a husband and wife get into a verbal disagreement, that is not a crime and so wouldn't factor into the numbers he's discussing. If however a husband strikes or beats his wife, that is obviously a crime. In Trump's worldview, that is an injustice. This kind of thinking is unsurprising from Trump, given the fact that he is an adjudicated rapist. Beyond the E. Jean Carroll incident, Trump's former wife Ivana also claimed in a 1990 divorce deposition that he assaulted and raped her. According to that deposition, he lost his temper shortly after undergoing a scalp-reduction surgery. He allegedly pushed her to floor, pulled out chunks of her hair, and raped her. According to Trump's logic, that attack would be best described as a "little fight." This man is a monster and the so-called "Christians" who put him in power should be ashamed of themselves. Beyond the abuse element, Trump provided no evidence for his claim that his fascist policies have reduced crime. He makes numbers up out of thin air, confident and correct in his assumption that his gullible followers will believe anything that comes out of his mouth. In reality, his deployment of National Guard troops and takeover of the metropolitan police has proven deeply unpopular with D.C. residents. Please like and share!
