End of backward compatibility issue: I'm buying IOM drives and duct taping 3 1/2 drives to them in my garage--I'm selling the combined backward-compatible drive for $25 over the cost of the IOM drive (this gives me a little profit, once I subtract the cost of the 3 1/2 drive and the duct tape). I figure I'll be able to drive IOM into ground or at least destroy their profit margins. Here's why my superIOM drive is superior: 1) It is backward compatible with 3 1/2 drives, which is a big plus, and, 2) It is superior to the StuporDisk and HiFud, since it has the added advantage of being able to copy directly from a 3 1/2 to an larger capacity disk without going to the hard drive, and 3) it's cheaper. (I just couldn't stay away from the thread)
