no...many white people did....they just had many other options and did not always have to pursue one skill that would lift them up. The doors in sports and entertainment opened and black people thrived and flourished, and they did and will do in any opportunity that is truly open to them. It is the lck of opportunity that caused the mess in this country since after the civil war. Slavery never went AWAY , it was replaced. Now it's rearing its UGLY HEAD AGAIN
