I recently called ADVR and was told that they had just hired 4 more scientists. This sounds very positive. What is strange is that this drug, Reticulose, was approved for use back in the 40's, 50's and 60's. During the 60's there was some scare about new drugs and it got pulled from the FDA approval list along with hundreds of other drugs. During WWII it was used to help GI's fight infections in Europe and Asia. What I don't get is why hasn't this drug been reapproved. I know the FDA is political but, Hey if this was owned by Merck, it would have been put through already. Any thoughts on this?
