BeanCounter: All I know is the 10-Q states the securities in MGAU and NMCI are "carried at cost." Maybe, as of September 30, the cost of IPM's investment in those companies was lower than the market value. I doubt that would be the case now. Actually, looking at the charts of MGAU and NMCI since September, it looks quite possible that IPM has been liquidating their investments in those companies to raise money needed to pay the bills.

IPM's next quarterly report will be quite interesting.
