Re: Paramount Skydance (PSKY) is reportedly preparing a majority-cash takeover bid for Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD)

Could they be a threat to Netflex? CNBC said even if they do the acquisition and get approval, they will be leveraged up because of the debt assumed. CNBC suggested that only an all cash offer would work.

I own both from earlier spin off and BOTH are under water. If/when the dust settles I s/d be back to even. The good part is both are held in IRA/ROTH so any gain is good. Looking out years, could this grow like NFLX? If so, it would be a great winner for the retirement portfolio.

CNBC said the potential growth would be in areas outside the US (International). The acquisition would give them more International exposure and maybe new movies produced in their studios could/would expand their international footprint.

Of course Daddy's money can help too.

OT: WBD. I'll go to Vegas here this morning for a small bet on WBD.

Bet is that there is a takeover offer.

If offer is at $25-26, stock will move up to $22-23 due to length of time required for all approvals. If offer is "only" $22 area, stock I'll guess will drop to $17-18 initially.
