Nothing new about any of this. Chump has tapped into the essence of what America actually has been and still is, as opposed to what it once aspired to be. The United States achieved empire status largely because we had a wealth of natural resources to exploit, two oceans to protect us, and no qualms about genocide to achieve manifest destiny. Most American history books should be moved to the speculative fiction shelf in your local library. Henry Ford was a fervent anti semite and Nazi sympathizer. pbs.org
