Respond to of 37082 Too late. Trudeau and Carney have fucked us all by making Canada an untrustworthy partner full of political risk. We might as well be Gaza. Those who voted for the CO2 bullshit and the Trudeau Liberal idiocy fucked all of us. The only way to reverse it is for all Canadians to come out against these policies and elect a new, pro oil and gas and resource development government. The far left leaning Globe isn't helping. FP says Enbridge, rival hear pipeline investors are few 2025-09-16 09:25 ET - In the News Also In the News (C-TRP) TC Energy Corp The Financial Post reports in its Tuesday, Sept. 16, edition that Prime Minister Mark Carney's national interest project excludes a new oil pipeline for Western Canada because no private developer has stepped forward to finance it. The Post's guest columnists Tegan Hill and Elmira Aliakbar write that the underlying issue is Justin Trudeau's damaging energy policies, which deter oil and gas investment, despite his successor's more pragmatic approach. It is no surprise that Albertans are frustrated. This spring, the Carney government introduced Bill C-5, which aims to make Canada a top "energy superpower." While the bill expedites certain projects, no action has been taken to reverse the federal policies that have hindered Canada's energy sector . The columnists note that a year after taking office, the Trudeau government cancelled Enbridge's Northern Gateway pipeline that would have given access to Asian markets. Because of those polices investors are not lining up to put big money into Canadian oil and gas. Just how great the discouragement has been is indicated by the 56-per-cent inflation-adjusted decline in overall investment in the oil and gas sector between 2014 and 2023 (from $84-billion to $37.2-billion).
