Maybe. But you are forgetting that there is a priority reading the chart.

So long as PL2! remains above the trendline (black) and/or above the supertrend, then the lower indicator can do whatever it wants to.

What would make the chart ripe for shorting is this:

PL consolidates about where it is, then it falls below the red guardrail and the black trendline at the same time (or very near timeframe).
