You can go to the location of the news story, and then clip the URL from the address portion of your browser. When you paste this address in your SI posting, it will usually come out as a link within your message.

I tend to clip and paste the whole news story if I feel that the link will not be around for very long, when the story is soon to be removed from the original location. Many news groups clear their stories on a regular basis, sometimes frequently.

I'm not sure which browser you are using but you should be able to
go to the top of your browser and copy the URL location. After copying the location or the entire message just paste the information
to your SI message.

I usually paste the link vs. the message because of copywrite infringement issues.
