Paywalls are a necessary evil. Reputable news sites need to pay their bills. Here's the NYT gift article: nytimes.com I can give 10/month and we're far enough into the month. If you can pay for 1 news source, NYT is it. For all its faults, it's the best all-round. Reuters, if you must, can be accessed in an incognito window. I accessed UCLA and Lancet without an account. I accepted all of Lancet's cookies, as I do with most highbrow sites. That should scare off the cyberstalkers.
