Four days is an awfully long long time. I have been thinking about power failures, and what might happen should it occur up here in the great white frozen north. Or even down in the US.

4 days of no power would be catastrophic. Food would spoil. No groceries, as stores are closed. No heat or air conditioning. Not sure how long emergency power from diesel standby generators would last in hospitals?

4 days could result in rioting, looting, and even deaths in some places. Without electricity, everything is at a stand still. Our society is completely dependent on electricity. Electric vehicles can't be recharged, gasoline can't be pumped. Cell phones dead or dying at best. etc.

Not a nice picture. .............. No S.I. <g>
