It is well established that correlation is not necessarily causation, however, in the case of human health and animal welfare, because of the nature of the pharmaceutical industry and its regulation, required studies and trials are not performed, therefore in the absence of such studies and trials, the precautionary principle should be relied on. It should be relatively easy to monitor the incidence of autism going forward in the absence or decreased use of Tylenol during pregnancy. lets revisit in a few years and review the outcome.

Enough placebo based population studies have been done to massively suggest that a causal link exists statistically. Populations that are Tylenol free have almost zero autism. Explain that.

Time based studies have confirmed that autism symptoms occurred shortly after giving Tylenol, and get worse with subsequent doses. These were referred to in the announcement yesterday.

Many are being careful in their speech, presently, but enough evidence now exists to confirm a causal link.

There are other causes going to be confirmed as a massive research effort is underway. (vaccination link among others)

Should have been done years ago.
