Brian,
I hope you can get $2 for them because then I may be forced to sell mine too. Though I hope that greed doesn't get the better of me. With respect to your 22.5 puts----if, as you said, this straddle will only be profitable if the stock goes below 22.5, I'm not so sure this is a good idea. Unless there is a big run up between today and tomorrow, I don't expect the stock to drop significantly after the announcement. The only reason I am concerned about these options in the short term is that I recently read a very good article on the street.com concerning option's volatility based on anticipated events. Which would lead me to believe that even if the stock stays where it is, these calls will be worth less after the announcement. Anyway, I would wait to see what happens and buy the puts close to the end of tomorrow if a run up does occur and if not, just forget them. This is great..now I'm telling you how to do a straddle! And it was just last night that I was forced to dust off MacMillan's options tome to figure out what a straddle was. BTW, if this doesn't work out don't blame me. I was only trying to be helpful when I suggested this in the first place......

Brian,
Here's my suggestion. Keep an eye on this stock during the last hour of trading before making a decision on the calls. The big guys have a way of sneaking this stuff in at the last minute when you're not looking. Look what happened with IFMX a few weeks ago in the last 5 to 10 minutes if I remember correctly. If I hadn't taken my eye off the ball in that situation I would have done things a lot differently. That article I referenced from the street.com suggested that buying stock is often times a better alternative than options. Not sure if it's necessarily better but certainly less stressful. (IMHO) If I had LOTS more money I would consider it myself.<g>

Has anyone else noticed that their mood changes in direct proportion to the price of a stock?<g> Anytime I see a price that is =>25 I feel great. Last night after I read Bob Zack's response about selling at 24 1/2 I was asking myself why I bought these calls in the first place. Today I'm saying, Why didn't I buy more? Am I kidding myself in thinking that MAYBE, just MAYBE we might see 26 today? I know it's wishful thinking at its finest. Actually if that happens this will be worse because then I won't know what to do<G>.. I have real time charts and quotes and the chart today so far looks quite positive. However, I have been fooled by these charts before.......
