Caxton,

OT - Greenspeak

Let me see if I understand what Greenspan said the last couple of days. Basically he said he has no idea what Asia is going to do. However, if Asia is a lot worse, than corporate earnings etc will get hurt and no action, or may be even rate reduction, is in order. On the other hand, if Asia is not too bad and inflation pressures reignite, then may be rate hikes are in order.

Sounds like in either case, it is negative for the market. As usual, I have the minority opinion and the market goes into record territory again. May be it is just peaking before the nose dive that will start tomorrow morning when I start my journey.

By the way, the Peoples national congress is meeting in Beijing right now, probably to take advantage of my presence, in case they have any questions.

Ramsey

Caxton, that was a terrific link to Kennard's key note speech--that must've had the audience in full tent revival mode. Don't know how he is as a public speaker but he's got one hell of a speech writer. Thanks for the post. Mike Doyle
