The doc's initially thought the broken leg was caused by Rickets, so they put me in Forrest Gump braces when I was a toddler. It wasn't until I was in my 20's that I discovered that a common congenital defect caused the leg break I had at 8-months old. My earliest memory is falling out of bed with those braces on. I got them off when I was 18-months old, so it had to be before then.
