This assumes that the input prices for everything but the PET-ITO is the same for PDLC and SPD, something we know is not true about the lamination cost, which is higher for SPD. I also think the processing to make the SPD is more expensive. PDLC is a commodity product at this point with defined grades of film based on categories like haze.
The question from the article is purchase quantity of PET-ITO the actual cost holding back SPD I personally remain skeptical that this is the only issue and that Gauzy with all it's PDLC manufacturing, can't get some volume pricing for their SPD.
