We’re trying to figure out strange old events - and, even today, new inexplicable things are happening in front of us.
Ultimately citizen inquiries into public events take us only so far. They bog down on the questions we're most interested in - the who and the why. We keep trying to close that often maddening gap between the esoteric and the exoteric. As Paul wrote long ago, "We see through a glass, darkly."
