william:

IMHO, risk of bankruptcy is much less now than it was 2 months ago. Contingent losses from lawsuits, claims from unaccounted liabilities, future charges from discontinued operations and temporary negative cash flow will depress the stock for some time.

Payson was optimistic on $350MM line of credit in CC. Koch was optimistic that the 350MM debt may not be used. Computer problems are still not resolved. The real question is if they have full handle on the past liabilities. IMHO, market went down today due to 10 more medical societies joining the original claimant. Going forward, management will eliminate loosing lines and regions. NYS insurance department has proclaimed that it wants to see healthy and financially sound Oxford in the best interests of consumers and providers.

Major part of loss you referred to is due to creation of reserves to pay past unaccounted liabilities and write off of uncollected premiums. I expect Payson & Co. to be smart enough to identify loss areas and eliminate them in future.

IMHO, overall long term hold and short term buy on dips sell on rallies. At these levels stock represents low risk. I would not want to be short this stock at these levels even though technicals have deteriorated in past couple of days.

Thanks and best regards
