A  colossal 800,000-ton mud rush erupted into the mine, traveling rapidly  to multiple sections and blocking access routes.may return to pre-accident operating rates in 2027 .declared force majeure last week .    Counting the cost      Supply stress      Dangerous business  hit by seismic activity  and subsequent flooding in May. The company is still  in the process of pumping water out  of the most affected section.experienced a tunnel collapse  at its El Teniente mine in July resulting in six fatalities.
