All FYI from briefing.com <<Short Interest: according to the NASDAQ, February short interest rises to 1.82 billion shares from 1.77 bln in the previous month, setting a new mark and topping old record set in December.....>>

We may have one MORE blowout to shake some of the shorts out, I'm sorry to say. I closed a bunch of long positions today from the recent runup (Nokia, SCUR, MRK, 1/2 of my Dell, and INTC). We'll see, I'm happy for the short term gains over these last 6 weeks, but its got to be time soon (doesn't it?).

Eric,

Be careful about shorting BEAS. When insiders buy over $5 million in Dec'97 that shows me that they're putting their money where there mouth is. And 4Q earnings are due out this week or next.
