Hey....I'm just sitting here wondering why no one is buying LSI! Watching this rally leave LSI behind is about as bad as watching the stock the past 8 months....I thought we had it going a couple of weeks ago...what happened....I guess the key words here is...more patience?

MU a DRAM commodity semi is up +1-5/8. Why is LSI so lagging?

BuddEEEEEE!

Well I could not resist - more of a sentimental buy than a rational one but added to my LSI position today at 23 7/8. As usual playing the game with my heart not my wallet. (And margined it as well.)

Time for the Phoenix to rise for the LXIIth time.

----

Have you noticed a funny thing:

PCs: INTC, IDTI (now), AMD (maybe another lifetime)
Memory: CRUS(partly), MU, TXN(partly)
PLDs: XLNX, ALTR
Analog: ADI, NSM (partly)

If ALTR gets upgraded XLNX and LLTC go up.
If INTC gets upgraded everyone usually goes up.
If MU gets upgraded TXN usually goes up.

WHO HELPS LSI ALONG? NO ONE! If VLSI gets upgraded it's because the communications people are doing well. LSI will not be affected. If NSM gets upgraded it is usually because their commodity and analog parts are doing well not because of their System-On-A-Chip Focus.

Now which analyst ever upgraded the ephemeral System-On-A-Chip segment. Unless he or she had been partying out late night at the Mardi Gras and imbibed just a few too many, I've never heard of it. Heck the SOC category does not exist (rightly so for now).

That trick failed circa mid to late 1995 when the supposed invulnerability of LSI to the then semiconductor downturn proved as fragile as a house of sticks.

LIKE THE LOST CITY OF ATLANTIS, NO ONE KNOWS WE EXIST.

E. bites the bullet and acquires LSI at the lower of my moving
averages. The stock continues to languish in no man's land until
the predicted end of the month (i.e., Monday). But the real
question is, will she ride the elevator to the 30th top floor
or get off at a safer (200-day MA) 27th floor?
