Always happy to hear from our UCSD alumnus. Aren't you glad your not in La Jolla this winter. I think the fact that Dr. Hockaday has an actual working prototype is significant. Little disappointed that it is going to take so long to make a "beta-test device". However, I assume he is trying to make a fully functional, form factored, device that could be transitioned directly to manufacturing. The cost estimate sounds good, but it is much to early in the development cycle to have much faith in manufacturing cost estimates. Thanks for the input.
