I used to forward the email all the time to that address. Waste of time.
Maybe so. I remain hopeful that they follow up on it, but I don't know what their security team does with it. I know that they can't do anything about what they don't know about. It takes about ten seconds. They do have an automated acknowledgement of your submission, iirc.

Obviously PayPal isn't the only one plagued by impostors. I get e-mails with clickbait from fake walmart, lowes, and others, too, and I forward all of them to the companies' phishing reporting address if they have one, to my service provider, and also to reportphishing@apwg.org . Hopefully these fraudsters are picked off one at a time if cybersecurity is notified and is doing its job.
