Anything goes as long as one is willing to accept the consequences and those become even less relevant when it's other peoples money on the line. In the case of ARM the OPM component is even a further two steps away than normal. Today it's all about fencing in what's wanted by others and that which you don't want. Consequences under those terms can be less influential to the attacking and defending parties. Lawyers, strategists, "partner connections" and OPM are it.
