They were talking about this yesterday on Bloomberg. The essence of the discussion was it was a big surprise because the company wasn't having obvious problems and the financials looked pretty good. I only have about a 1/4 position, planning to just hold for now. Could add a little as more info comes out if the price keeps dropping.

I think the CEO change is a good thing and don't see a dividend cut myself. What has changed since their most recent report, except the CEO change. I'll continue to hold for the predictable income.

RE. VZ - curious what everyone thinks about the sudden CEO change. I didn't like the sudden change. Could be a sign of other issues brewing in the company that public is unaware of. I decided to go ahead and start trimming. I sold a few lots that had some gains, more than offsets the dividend loss for this quarter. I'll monitor and slowly trim further after the ex-date. With the proceeds, I've started building a position in AMLP etf, and also adding more to UTF.
