I need to add up the total market cap that has popped out of thin air all based on OpenAI projections for deals of 1-5 years out.

Why is this different than Intel always telling us that in just a year or two they will have an amazing process node in high volume production?

The problem for OpenAI is that they can literally go to zero if an equal or better AI product is open sourced and runs on edge hardware, something that very well might be the future of AI. Its not like OpenAI is far in the lead over anyone else.

What they are far in the lead on is announcing deals that may or may not actually be implemented. Back in the dotcom era, this stockmarket based bootstrapping was rampant, a few actually succeeded and became significant players, most just imploded with nothing to show for the $ they raked in.
